I re-designed the book jacket for Cormic McCarthy's " The Road" . To achieve the look of a post apocalyptic narrative I experimented with different burned materials , charcoal, wood, ash in order to evoke burned cities and desolation.I added a reddish hue with some powdered chalk to symbolize blood and death. I then manipulated the images in photoshop , piling , warping and adding various filters to achieve the final cover of the book.
